Garden of Witches 1.0 has officially launched! The full release brings the Epilogue Arc to a conclusion, a major overhaul of the combat and progression systems with new Scissors and Spells, keyboard and mouse controls, Steam achievements, Japanese voice overs (main story only), and much more.

Whether you’re returning to the Garden or stepping inside for the first time, 1.0 is the biggest version of Garden of Witches yet!

The Epilogue Continues

Return to the Garden and meet the new witches you need to gather for the tea party. Epilogues 2 and 3 grow the Garden and continue the story beyond Epilogue 1 while bringing the Epilogue Arc to an epic conclusion. Along the way, you will also be able to unlock new Scissors and Spells!

Combat Rebuilt from Beginning to End

We have replaced the old Attribute and Synergy system with a more flexible combat and progression system, which focuses on Scissors, Spells, Imprints, and Relics. New mechanics such as Charge, Combo, and Channeling add new ways to use your Scissors and Spells and give them each a stronger identity. Imprints now allow you to further shape your favorite Scissors and Spells so you can customize your builds in ways that weren’t possible before.

Keyboard & Mouse Support is Here

Our most requested control scheme is finally here. Garden of Witches now fully supports Keyboard & Mouse controls, so you can choose the control style that works best for you, whether that is Keyboard-Only, Gamepad, or Keyboard & Mouse.

Steam Achievements are Here

Another highly requested feature is finally here. As promised, we have added Steam Achievements to 1.0. Now, you can unlock achievements while slashing your way through the Garden, discovering its secrets, and customizing your builds.

Japanese Voice Overs

We have brought Sil and the witches of the Garden to life with Japanese voice overs! However, at the moment, voiceovers are only available in the main story from Chapters 1 to 5.

A New Challenge Awaits After the Story

Challenge Mode has been reworked and now unlocks after clearing Epilogue 3. Choose the challenge you want to tackle and put your strongest builds to the test.

Garden of Witches has changed enormously throughout Early Access, and many of those changes were shaped by your feedback. Thank you for playing our game, reporting bugs, and sharing your ideas. Everything helped us improve the Garden. 

1.0 isn’t just the end of Early Access, it’s the beginning of Garden of Witches’ full release.

Garden of Witches is a fast-paced action roguelike where you wield giant scissors and use witchcraft to bring down other witches in the Garden. You’ll need to master enemy attack patterns, create powerful builds, and fight to bring together all the witches before the Garden falls apart.

Beat Witches into Submission

As the Thread Witch, you need to gather all the witches for an annual tea party ritual, but they aren’t going to attend the tea party willingly. Face distinct bosses with their own personalities, transformations, and attack patterns. Learn how each one fights, and find the opening you need to beat them into submission.

Unleash Your Choice of Witchcraft

Choose your favorite Scissors, Spells, and Special Skills from your Armory and personalize how you fight to save the Garden. While going through the Garden, you will be able to strengthen the abilities you love with Imprints and Relics and reshape how familiar skills behave from run to run.

Bond with Your Coven

Explore a hand-drawn world of mesmerizing witchcraft and wayward witches, each with their own unique domain. Get to know them through the game’s main five-chapter story arc and continue your journey through a three-part epilogue arc.

Japanese Voice Cast

Defy Death and Return Stronger

A witch’s death does not end their story. Return stronger with permanent upgrades and knowledge of your past runs. Then experiment with other Spells and refine your favorite builds while pushing your mastery of witchcraft. Once you reach the peak, put your craft to the test by customizing the difficulty of the Garden.

And try not to get yourself killed along the way, even witches don’t like dying too much.
